so last night i dreamt that elvis costello was playing a show at this castle like place. except he was playing in one of the hallways near the baseball field that didnt look like a castle? and other people were watching it from far away, but i was up close with a couple of other people in this other hallway type thing that people really wouldn't be able to see into....so really they couldn't see him performing. anyway....the important part was that he played some fantastic songs, and i got to talk to him in between songs. unfortunately i don't remember exactly what the content of the conversation consisted of. but i do remember him wearing a very cool outfit.
but yeah...i usually forget the majority of my dreams within a day or so, so i just wanted to record this due to me thinking that it was pretty great.

i am so anxious to go home. even if i don't have it that bad with my finals even if i have about 20 random to-do lists. i just want to go home.
i have dropped too many important things lately, and the negative consequences just get increasingly worse. or they make me even more mad at myself is what i mean to say.
so yeah...i dont know why but i only get the urge to write publically about my life once every few months. (and very vaguely at that) maybe thats because i have a weird superstition in the back of my mind that everytime i write in here my mood changes drastically in the other way. which it usually does...but thats just me being silllllllYY!!

state has been pretty good since i got here. i really like my job and all the people i work with. i dont have much to say about classes, but they are a big improvement from my lame schedule last year.
my roommate and i just fixed up our room yesterday, and it looks quite awesome. we got this blue vinyl couch type thing for $5 at the msu surplus store, along with a $10 tv that apparently doesn't want to get cable. we got a bunch of other stuff and it was only like $30. our room is beyond colorful.
well i really never have much to say in this thing, seeing as i can never gather all of my thoughts of the day/past month or so since i wrote in here at once so thatd be about it for now...

just an update on the previous entry... i did get a missed call and a message from the guy at aroma cafe like an hour after writing that entry, and i went up to finish getting trained today. part of me figured that might happen, because ...well...thats just the way things seem to like to occur. i was supposed to get back to my boss like 2 days ago, because he was going to make the schedule for this week, so thats why i was kinda getting paranoid. oh yeah...and it almost didnt work out since i can only work the fri-sun day shifts. but luckily enough, he was nice enough to just go with it and give me other shifts... enough of that. i also had a sososo good dinner at cosi with ryan. i dont think food has ever tasted as good as it did! maybe im going overboard, but i was so friggin hungry.

so i got a hired and trained on the spot on the same day i was job searching at a bunch of other places in east lansing last week (crazyness cause it was the last place i applied)....but my boss doesn't answer his phone so i cant call him back to organize my schedule/second segment of training. its at this really cute coffee shop called aroma that just opened up last semester, and id never actually been inside it before, but as soon as i walked in i knew i wanted to work there. the point is that this was my top choice of places to work after i saw it so i was really excited at first, but now im just worried that it isnt going to happen anymore. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! only a few more weeks of maggie moo left!

6:48 pm - i cant possibly express my annoyance with the fact that the teenyboppers arent captive anymore
|
hooray for lots of fun camping with harmsrya next to the sand dunes!
i almost lost my voice at work today because it is so goshdarn loud when it gets packed with people and not to mention packed with obnoxious teenyboppers spending all their free time at the mall since school is out. plus my throat was already sore. so i hope i dont sound like a boy going through puberty for much longer. no offense to young people...not all young people are teenyboppers.

unfortunately maggie moos is preventing me from seeing the decemberists on friday when i already had a ticket. its just an impossible shift to switch due to a lot of factors. that would have been such a good show! argghhhhhh!@(#*)(*@!#sooo lame.... and its the art fair so its going to be hella way too busy. but i do get to see wilco later in the summer for free and i will definetly remember to ask for that day off so i dont have to be angry at myself for being forgetful.
funfunfuntimes already this summer. and it should get better.
too many people i havent seen in so long.....

ughh...geez...just to a lot of things in general...
i just watched a tivoed episode of the daily show about some guy seriously thinking toy "guns for tots" was a good idea. that was after his lovely idea of handing out cigarettes didn't really work out.
and it really does seem like the really anti-gay republicans have gay chatroom experiences, escort services, or just any kind of gay "slip-ups."
...off to take a shower and finally start my day

im finally done after i turn in my paper revision tomorrow at 10am! then apparently my dad is borrowing some insanley expensive 'sclade from work to pick me up and be able to fit everything in the vehicle with the rest of family. i guess its sweet to leave in style? and what better way than with a tightassSUV? u-hauls and pick-ups are way to not sweet. really...i think its hilarious, but im just happy to be done with school. lets all go share a huge sundae to celebrate.

12:40 pm - vent vent vent
|
so i was so incredibly lucky to get to watch i <3 huckabees in my american radical thought/writing class this morning since ive been wanting to see it again, and it has been checked out at blockbuster everytime ive looked due to the new lack(or actually just more expensive) late fees. only thing is that the only comments i heard people making during the movie were...
"what the fuck is this movie about" (from the guy who seriously thought it "was bullshit" that we still had to write a paper when our team was in the final four)
"this doesn't make any sense"&"this movie is retarded"
"i have to pay blockbuster for this movie, because i checked it out for 9 days instead of 8"<---why i couldn't check it out
oh well...i was really happy to get to see it, but it was still annoying that people seemed like they weren't even trying to make sense of it. i mean, its fine for people to not like it, but to block it out because it had some weird parts that you don't understand doesn't make it "retarded." anywho, this is really just a vent about how ignorant some people like to be and not about people having to like this movie.
oh yes...and i just remembered that my sister burned me a cd that i haven't listened to yet of some of the soundtrack...so that is uplifting.

6:30 pm - final four......awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww shit

i just picked up an addiction for hackysack a few days ago. i still really suck, but its still fun to play on the warm days in the grass anyways.
and yesterday i really screwed up when trying to restring my(actually the one im borrowing and is mine for now) guitar. supposively i did it right, but it sounds realllly bad. its all clanging and stuff, but it is a cheap guitar. grrr...i wanted to practice some today.
in other news, the open mic i helped put on in the art museum on thursday here was actually a lot of fun, and it was rather successful. there was an almost perfect number of people to fill the time slots, and there were some incredibly talented people. the atmoshere of actually being surrounded by art was nice as well. mmmm and i got 2 free pear izzes.
